Quality Gate Checks are a vital component of the Part Traceability module, ensuring process conformity and compliance with quality standards in manufacturing. The checks verify stored process results in the quality database before proceeding with further production steps. By enforcing these checks, defective parts are prevented from being processed further or leaving the production facility.
Key features of Quality Gate Checks include:

Verification of process results against predefined rules and parameters.

Configuration of additional conditions, such as ensuring the latest result for a specific process is OK or limiting the number of attempts for a process.

Safeguarding that all data requiring archiving is stored in the database.
Quality Gate Checks are configured using Test Specifications, which define the rules and parameters for the checks. These specifications can be imported into the Part Traceability module and are linked to specific Configuration Scopes. This ensures that the checks are tailored to the requirements of each production environment.
Quality Gate Checks can be carried out in different ways:

Using the Quality Gate Service from other services, e.g. via Direct DataL Link, and thus a variety of communication modules
