Introduction to the Maintenance Management module
The module Maintenance Management is used to create and manage corrective and preventive maintenance tasks (hereinafter referred to as "task") for machines (hereinafter referred to as "device") and tools.
It supports the user in processing and appraising tasks.
Corrective and preventive tasks
A corrective task consists of the following data:

Working time confirmation
Problem and solution descriptions can also be added to the corrective task.
A preventive task consists of following data:

Work instructions

Working time confirmation
Work instructions for preventive tasks can be created in the task templates. Schedules can be created for task templates so that preventive tasks can be created automatically at the next desired time.
Main Functions
The following menus are available in Maintenance Management:

Machine Maintenance
Create and manage corrective and preventive tasks for devices using data from Master Data Management module

Tool Maintenance
Create and manage corrective tasks for tools using data from Tool Management module.

Task Templates
Create and manage machine and tool task templates for preventive tasks.

Schedules
Create and manage schedules for task templates.
The following task types are available in Maintenance Management module:

Corrective Task
Task that describes a fault or failure.

Preventive Task
Task that describes maintenance or servicing.
Roles and permissions
All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Multitenant Access Control module.
The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:
Maintenance Administrator
Maintenance Manager
Maintenance Production Planner
Maintenance Production
Maintenance Technician Leader
Maintenance Technician
Groups
In order for the Maintenance Management module to function properly, Groups of any name must be created in the Multitenant Access Control module and assigned predefined tags.
The Maintenance Management tag must be set and, depending on the use of the group, other module names can be set as tags:
