Introduction to the Order Management Module
The module Order Management is used to create and manage production orders for lines.
The orders are processed after the planning and release stages. The lines and their associated stations report the progress. Production of the next order starts as soon as the quantity is reached. The interface to the line is the DirectDataLink service.
The orders can be checked and customized as required, and the order in which they are processed prioritized.
The histories show the progress of order management, messages and calculation for material consumption.
The Order Management module supports the Smart Replenishment Service (SrS), which predicts material consumption based on planned orders. The Order Management module requests the material available on the line from the ERP system, performs material calculations and orders missing material. A prerequisite for the use of SrS is the connection to the Material Management , Product Setup Management and ERP Connectivity modules.
