Introduction to the Product Setup Management module

The module Product Setup Management is available as a client version and is used for planning and managing products that consist of multiple components and materials.

The product parts lists, the product assembly plans and the packaging parts lists—hereinafter referred to as the "packaging specifications"—are organized in the context of logistics and production processes.

Main Function

  • Manage product parts lists (create, process, import and export)

  • Link product parts lists with actions, production orders and product assembly plans

  • Manage product assembly plans (create, process, import and export)

  • Manage packaging specifications and instructions for packaging (create, process, import and export)

  • Manage variants and versions of product parts lists, product assembly plans and packaging specifications

  • Manage master data of products, components, materials, product parts lists, product assembly plans and packaging specifications

  • Synchronize product parts lists, product assembly plans and packaging specifications via ERP Connectivity

  • Link product parts lists and production order numbers with Order Management for a version-specific production process

  • Link packaging specifications and instructions to the Packaging Control client

Roles and permissions

All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Multitenant Access Control module.

The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:
