Introduction to the Tool Management module

The module Tool Management is used to manage and configure tools and components. To assist in this, the Tool Management module provides information on any pending maintenance work on the tools and components. The health status of all tools and components is indicated by a color for monitoring purposes.

Main Function

  • View and filter tools and components

  • Combine tools and components

  • Creating and configuring tools and components

  • Configure notifications about exceeded warning and blocking limits of counters

  • Release and block tools and components

  • Configure tool and component types, properties, and groups

  • Configure counters for monitoring tools and components

  • Configure the global settings

Roles and permissions

All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Multitenant Access Control module.

The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:

  • Tool Management Guest

  • Tool Management User

  • Tool Management Expert

  • Tool Management Admin
