Introduction to the Information Router Module

The module Information Router is a service that allows machines to communicate with the Nexeed Industrial Application System portal. A machine can be a device, a control system or a PLC (programmable logic controller). A machine sends messages to a single endpoint provided by the Information Router service. These messages are used to transfer any kind of important information from the shop floor. Subsequently, based on the configuration, Information Router service then forwards the incoming messages to the configured Nexeed Industrial Application System module.

To successfully forward the message, the Information Router service authenticates the machine to the Multitenant Access Control module (device authentication). The Information Router service also authenticates itself to the Multitenant Access Control module (service authentication).
