Stations (devices)

Stations are operational hubs for a client of the Packaging Control service. A unique identifier (station identifier) must be specified and configured using the relevant Packaging Control Service instance for every station (physical client) that is combined with the Packaging Control Service. During the configuration process, separate function (workflow) configurations can be defined to adapt various station requirements to specific packing processes.

HandleParts

Defines which type of product (part) identification should be used for queries involving additional services (in particular Part Traceability for quality data).
0 = Automatic.
1 = Ident. No.
2 = Serial no.
Default value: 1 (Ident. no.)

A unique station identifier and an existing function (workflow) configuration must be assigned to all physical devices (stations) connected to the Packaging Control service. Otherwise all incoming queries will be rejected with an error (Return Values 108001).
