Timeout configuration
The timeouts for communication between the terminal devices (machines), Packaging Control, ERPConnectivity and SAP are controlled by a timeout configuration between the individual components.
When setting up the timeouts, make sure that logical values are entered in the call sequence. This must apply to all stations to be configured.
Example: The Packaging Control client is to communicate via the Packaging Control service in the direction of ERPConnectivity.
| Timeout parameters | PaCo-Client | PaCo-Service | ERPConnectivity |
|---|---|---|---|
1) Invocation |
190 seconds |
||
a) Transaction |
180 seconds |
||
b) GetHandlingUnitFromERP |
70 seconds |
||
c) TriggerProductionConfirmationInERP |
100 seconds |
||
x) ProductionConfirmations |
60 seconds |
||
y) PackagingUnits |
60 seconds |
||
z) PackagingConfirmations |
90 seconds |
Explanation:
(1) The entire execution (from the client) is to be allowed to last 190 seconds.
(a) Therefore, the Transaction timeout (PaCo service) must be < 190 seconds (in this case 180 seconds).
(b)+(c) In addition, the timeout values (total) of the individual calls must be less than the transaction timeout (a) and greater than the corresponding timeout in ERPConnectivity (x, y, z).
