Starting the repacking process

The user must select whether an existing or new packing unit should be used for repacking before further processing can start.

  • Select whether a new or existing target packing unit should be used.

Repacking form: new

If the user has selected a new target packing unit, the next step is to specify a packing type.

Sole exception : If the type data for a source packing unit is a single-level packaging instruction (products (parts) on a pallet), the user is not asked for the packing type.

  • Select the packing type for the target packing unit.

    The user is then asked whether or not the target packing unit has the same packaging index as the source packing unit:

  • Specify which packing index the target packing unit has or should have.

    The packing index of the source packing unit is always preselected.

  • Select the source packing unit and the sub-packing units to be repackaged.

    • Scan the packing unit that is to be repacked Scan.

    • Select the sub-packing units which should be repacked.

  • If the target packing unit has enough space to repack all the sub-packing units of the source packing unit:

    Select whether all of the sub-packing units should be repacked.

    If the sub-packing units are not all to be repacked automatically:

    Select the sub-packing units which should be repacked.

Repacking form: existing

If the user has selected an existing target packing unit, the next step is to specify a packing type.

Only Exception : If the type data for a source packing unit consists of a single-level packing instruction (products (parts) on a pallet), the user is not asked for the packing type.

  • Select the packing type for the target packing unit.

  • Select the source packing unit and the sub-packing units to be newly packed.

    • Scan the source packing unit for repacking ( Scan ).

    • Select the sub-packing units to be repacked.

      The system then prompts you to specify the target packing unit for repacking.

  • Enter the target packing unit for repacking.

  • If there is enough space in the target packing unit to repack all sub-packing units of the source packing unit:

    Select whether all sub-packing units are to be repacked.

    If not all sub-packing units are automatically repacked:

    Select the sub-packing units to be repacked.
