Create, edit and delete machines

In the Machine Overview, you can add new machines as needed. Up to 100 devices can be added to each machine, which are displayed in the Device Overview.

Create a new machine

  1. Open the Device Portal > Device Overview menu entry.

  2. Click on add_border in the header.

    The dialog window opens.

  3. Enter the data in the Create Machine window.

  4. Click on Next.

    The Manufacturer step opens.

    Manufacturer
  5. Select the company where the machine was produced.

    If the company is not in the list: Create a company.
  6. Click on Next.

    The User step opens.

    User
  7. Select the company where the machine is in use.

    If the company is not in the list: Create a company.
  8. Click on Next.

    The Link Devices step opens.

    Assign Devices
  9. Assign the corresponding devices to the machine.

  10. Confirm with Create Machine.

    The machine is created and displayed in the Machine Overview. To see the linked devices, click on the machine. The Device Overview view opens with the corresponding linked devices.

Create a company

  1. Open the Device Portal > Device Overview menu entry.

  2. Click on add_border in the header.

    The dialog window opens.

  3. Enter the data in the Create Machine window.

  4. Click on Next.

    The Manufacturer step opens.

  5. Click on add_border.

    The dialog window opens.

    Create Company
  6. Enter the data in the Create company window.

  7. Confirm with Create.

A new company is created and can be selected in the list.

Edit a machine

To edit an existing machine, click on the "…​" icon on the right side of the machine entry in the Machine Overview view and select Edit Machine from the options menu.

The Edit Machine window opens. Here it is possible to change the main machine information.

Delete a machine

To delete an existing machine, click on the "…​" icon on the right side of the machine entry in the Machine Overview view and select Delete Machine from the options menu. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears by clicking Delete.
