Device registration overview
In the Device Portal, a distinction is made between device registration and device claiming.

During the device registration, the device is made known for the first time in the Device Portal and, for example, master data is created for the device.

In the case of device claiming, the device already exists in the Device Portal, but in another tenant. For example, for a tenant such as Rexroth.
If a device is to be added, this can be done either by registering the device or by claiming an existing device.
