Nexeed Material Management

Service

Nexeed Material Management module is used to manage material at the level of handling units (boxes, pallets) in production/logistic area. Customer identifies each handling unit with a unique material label (Mat label, GTL-S (Global Transport Label - Single) label, Neutral label, VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) 4992 label). This label is used to map the handling unit as a digital representation in material management. Various actions can be performed on the material and reported to the Nexeed Material Management module. The User or Nexeed Material Management module itself can use Material block function to prohibit the use of blocked materials in production (via the Nexeed Direct Data Link module). Nexeed Material Management module can also visualize the Material via the material management user interface.

The Nexeed Material Management module supports the following functions:

Creating digital Material representation via Nexeed Direct Data Link module
Creating digital Material representation via GRTO (Goods Receipt Transfer Order) - Currently SAP (System Analysis Program Development) Bosch only
Tracking material movements in the production via Nexeed Direct Data Link module.
Material Monitoring (MSD (Moisture Sensitive Device) Material handling according to JEDEC J-STD-033B Norm)
Material Block handling:
- Adding/Removing blocks, Automatic Block creation on material expiration
- Rule based block creation (Example: Block all materials with attribute: ProductionDate: 23.01.2023)
Tracking material consumption by handling unit (Higher transparency about material consumption)
Possibility to request materials and blocks by Nexeed Direct Data Link module

Obligations / cooperation of the customer

The Customer must configure the Nexeed Material Management Module according to the conditions of the plant and the lines.
The Customer must configure / or request the configuration of the Nexeed Direct Data Link machine configuration related to Material Management functions.
The Customer must implement the machine receiving goods station and/or SAP connection to be able to create the digital material representation. (Creating new materials).
The Customer must also implement material life cycle process for the production lines used with the Nexeed Material Management module.
For the tracking material function the Customer must ensure required tools and connectivity which are supported compatible with the Nexeed Direct Data Link module.
For the use of the Nexeed Material Management module and machines a valid license of Nexeed Direct Data Link module is required.
