Blocks tab
The Blocks tab displays the list of all blocking events. The blocking of a material can be triggered automatically based on multiple processes, for example, by reaching the expiry date, or by created blocking rules. A blocking event can also be added by manually creating a block.

Id of the user who created or modified the block. |
Rule |
The Id of the blocking rule that created the block. Empty for non rule based blocks. |
Block Synchronization |
The synchronization status to Block Management. |
Block Management Id |
The identifier of the block in Block Management. |

Creating a manual block
Prerequisite
MaterialManagement Expert or MaterialManagement Administrator role
Procedure

Search for material using one of the following options:

Click on the Blocks tab.

Click on
in the table header. -
Enter the reason for the block in the Add manual block dialog.

Click on Add.
The block is activated and displayed in the Blocks tab and the color of the material header is highlighted in red.
The event is displayed in the Material History tab.
Editing the description of a block
Prerequisites

MaterialManagement ExpertorMaterialManagement Administratorrole -
At least one block has been created.
Procedure

Search for material using one of the following options:

Click on the Blocks tab.

Click on
in the row of the entry to be edited. -
Enter a Reason text in the Edit block dialog.

Confirm with Save.
The changed description is displayed in the Blocks tab.
Remove block from the material
Prerequisites
-
MaterialManagement Administratorrole -
At least one block has been created.
Procedure

Search for material using one of the following options:
-
Click on the Blocks tab.
-
Click on
in the row of the block. -
Confirm with Delete.
The block is removed from the Blocks tab and the event is displayed in the Material History tab.
