Configuring footer and privacy settings

The Footer and Privacy tab allows you to configure footer content, and privacy policy information.
The configuration of footer and privacy settings must comply with the legal requirements.

Requirements

Procedure

  1. On the System Settings page, click the Footer and privacy tab.

  2. In the Global settings area, configure whether the footer is to be displayed and, if necessary, adjust the copyright text.
    By default, the footer is displayed and the copyright text is blank. A copyright icon is automatically prefixed to the entry.

  3. In the Privacy Settings area, enter the URLs to the data protection notice and imprint as well as information to convenience and marketing cookies. The links will be shown in the privacy settings dialog, which users can open by clicking the Privacy settings link in the footer.

  4. In the Footer settings area, set whether a banner for the privacy settings should be displayed (default), whether convenience cookies should be automatically saved for all users and, if necessary, adjust the title for the privacy settings.

  5. In the Footer links area, configure the titles and URLs for footer links. These links are shown in the footer of the Web Portal and can be used for organization-specific information or legal disclosures.

  6. To add another entry under Footer links , click + Add link.

  7. To locate texts and URLs in a language-specific way, click . The number on the icon indicates how many translations already exist.
    The fallback for missing translations is the text entered in the Default text field in the Settings.

  8. In the dialog, enter the localized text or URLs and click Save.

  9. To accept the changes, click Save.
    It might be necessary to refresh the page to see the changes in the footer and privacy settings.

The specified settings (copyright, editorial information, privacy settings, etc.) must comply with the legal requirements.

The changes are displayed on the pages of the Web Portal. Users have to refresh the page to see the changes in the footer and privacy settings.

Cookie consent and user feedback

Web Portal supports cookie consent management and user feedback collection through Qualtrics integration. When configured, users can manage their cookie preferences and provide feedback about Nexeed Industrial Application System.

Cookie types

Three types of cookies can be enabled based on user consent:

Convenience cookies

  • Enhance user experience

  • Remember user preferences

  • Improve usability

Analysis cookies

  • Collect usage statistics

  • Help identify areas for improvement

Marketing cookies

  • Enable feedback collection through Qualtrics

  • Gather user satisfaction data

  • Support product improvement initiatives

Cookie consent dialog

When users first visit Web Portal and the Privacy Settings banner is enabled, a consent dialog appears allowing them to accept or decline different cookie categories.

The cookie consent settings are configured in the Privacy Settings area of the Footer and privacy tab.

User feedback

When marketing cookies are accepted and an Internet connection is available, the Qualtrics feedback snippet is embedded in Web Portal. Users can provide feedback through the Qualtrics interface to help improve Nexeed Industrial Application System.
