Query Tab
The Query tab is used to search the entire database based on individual filter criteria.

The user is logged on to the Web Portal.
Procedure
Open the Query tab in the Product Setup > Setup Parameters menu.
Filter dataset
Prerequisites
-
Production area, product family, product and variant(s) have been created. Product tab
Procedure
-
In the Query tab, under Basic Query Parameters , select the desired filter criteria in the drop-down lists.

Optional: Under Advanced Query Parameters , click + Add Filter for Parameter.

The following information can be entered in the Filter by Parameters dialog window:

A name can be entered in the Parameter Name text box.

A unit can be entered in the Unit text box.
-
A description can be entered in the Parameter Description text box.
-
A value equation can be selected from the Value Equation drop-down list.

A value can be entered in the Value text box.
Placeholders () can be used in the *Parameter Name , Unit and Parameter Description text boxes.

Click Add Filter.

Optional: Use the radio button to select an operator to combine multiple advanced query parameters.

Click Search.
Only datasets that meet the selected filter criteria appear in the structure tree.
To reset the filter criteria, click Reset. |
Change the status of variants
Prerequisites
-
Production area, product family, product and variant(s) have been created. Product tab
Procedure
-
In the Query tab, under Basic Query Parameters and Advanced Query Parameters , select the desired filter criteria.

Click Search.

Select one or more variants in the structure tree by activating the checkbox.

Click
in the header.
-
Click
Change States of Variant(s) in the options menu.

Select the target status of the variant in the Target Variant Status drop-down list.

Click Save.
The status of the variant is changed.
Copy variant
Prerequisites
-
Production area, product family, product and variant(s) have been created. Product tab
Procedure
-
In the Query tab, under Basic Query Parameters and Advanced Query Parameters , select the desired filter criteria.

Click Search.
-
Select one or more variants in the structure tree by activating the checkbox.

Click
Copy in the header.
-
In the Copy dialog window, select the target directory of the product family from the Product Family drop-down list.
The name of the variant must be unique within a product.

Click Copy.
The variant is copied.
Check whether the copied variant has been created in the Editor tab. |
Create ticket
Prerequisites
-
Production area, product family, product and variant(s) have been created. Product tab
Procedure
-
In the Query tab, under Basic Query Parameters and Advanced Query Parameters , select the desired filter criteria.

Click Search.

Select one or more variants in the structure tree by activating the checkbox.

Click
Create Ticket in the header.

Enter the information in the Create Ticket dialog window:
The Production Area , Product Family , Product and Variant fields are already selected and therefore grayed out.

A severity level of the ticket can be selected from the Severity drop-down list.
-
Enter the title of the ticket in the Title text box.
-
You can enter a description of the ticket in the Description text box.
-
In the Due Date field, the date and time by which the ticket must be resolved can be selected.

In the Resolving Group drop-down list, select the resolving group for the ticket.

The Delegation Resolving Groups drop-down list can be used to select one or more delegation resolving groups for the ticket.

Click Create.
The ticket is created and appears in the Task Tracking > Ticket Management menu.
The release of a variant is not possible if an open ticket exists for this purpose. |
