Import configuration

lc_configuration_manager_upload_file

Under Line Control > Configuration , configuration files are imported into the Line Control module. This allows settings up to Line Control versions 2.13 to be reused (backward compatibility).

The following configuration files of the MES Line Control service can be imported:

  • OpCon.Settings.xml:
uploads the configuration for the type data replication service.
The type data replication service synchronizes the Line Control specific type data for timer defintions and counter definitions from Setup Specs.

  • LineControl.Macros.xml:
uploads all macros that are defined in the file to Line Control.

All importet objects are globally available in every scope of Line Control.

Prerequisites

  • LC admin role

  • The line for which the configuration is to be imported is not in production.

A configuration file is applied immediately after the import. If the line whose configuration file is being imported is in production, processes may change.

Procedure

  1. Open the Line Control > Configuration menu.

  2. To select the configuration file to be imported, click add_black Select file.

  3. Select the required file in the file manager and display it in the Configuration menu with Open.

  4. Use Import to import the configuration file into the Line Control module.

The configuration file is imported and applied immediately. A message at the top indicates success.
