Show/hide detailed view

The detailed view of a shift contains information about the manufactured types and their losses. These are the relevant parameters for the OEE calculation.

Prerequisites

  • Shift Book Guest or Shift Book User or Shift Book Leader or Shift Book Admin role

  • The Shift book tab is open. Shift book tab.

Procedure

  1. Click a shift in the calendar.

This is not necessary for the current shift.

  2. Click spare-parts.

The detailed view of the shift is displayed to the right of the calendar view. The tab for hourly quantity tracking is active. Hourly quantity tracking tab.

Hourly quantity tracking tab

The hourly quantity tracking can be used to show the current production status, facilitating a swift reaction to any manufacturing problems.

It may also be necessary (if configured, see below) to confirm automatically recorded part counts in real time on the hour.

The Shift Book Admin operator must activate the hourly confirmation and the special display of unconfirmed hours in the calendar under Shopfloor Management > Administration > Configuration with the configuration parameter Enable part count confirmation.

The Shift Book Admin operator can activate a validation/check of the loss of performance with options such as Maximum loss efficiency. When validation is activated, the percentage efficiency loss is not allowed to exceed the percentage limit. See below for further limitations.

Prerequisites

  • Shift Book Guest or Shift Book User or Shift Book Leader or Shift Book Admin role

  • The detailed view of the shift is displayed. Show/hide detailed view.

Procedure

Click the Hourly quantity tracking tab.

The Hourly quantity tracking tab opens.

The calendar view switches automatically to the day view. The screen is split into two: The right side shows the hourly quantity tracking for the selected shift.

Stündliche Stückzahlverfolgung

Display for each full hour:

Element Description

Time

Specifies the hour within the shift

Performance losses

Depending on configuration:

  • Difference to 100 %

= 100% OEE − actual OK part count − NOK part count − availability loss.

  • Difference to target OEE

= Target OEE − actual OK part count − NOK part count − availability loss.

When validation of efficiency loss is activated:

If the performance loss exceeds or falls below a configured limit as a percentage or if the performance loss is negative, it is shown in red.

Confirmed hours (only if the configuration parameter Enable part count confirmation is activated by the Shift Book Admin operator under Shopfloor Management > Administration > Configuration ) are displayed in bold.

Target
(Target OEE)

Indicates the target part counts (equivalent to 100% OEE or the target OEE) both as an hourly figure and an accumulated figure.

The target part count is calculated from the current target cycle time (which may depend on the number of workers) and the planned occupancy time during the relevant hour (planned downtimes are deducted).

The system operator selects the Target part count based on target OEE under Shopfloor Management > Administration > Configuration using the configuration parameter Part count target value

Actual (internal)

Indicates the actual part count , both as an hourly figure and an accumulated figure.

The actual part count is calculated from the number of IO process cycles at the counting station(s) on the line.

Good parts and
losses/time range

Provides a graphical display of the actual part count (green bars) and the target part count (red line).

The Quality losses and Availability losses (in parts) are superimposed in light red. This indicates whether possible losses from the target part count can be justified sufficiently.

Unconfirmed hours are shown in gray (actual part counts) or in light gray (losses).

Only if part count confirmation is activated.

The Shift Book Admin operator must set the maximum number of parts per hour (graphic scaling) under Shopfloor Management > Administration > Configuration using the configuration parameter Maximum number of parts.

TTNR/target cycle time

Indicates the type being produced and its target cycle time (in seconds).

If more than one type is produced per hour, the type produced for longest during this hour is displayed. The other types are displayed as a comment when the mouse pointer is hovered over the red triangle.

Quality [pcs.]

Indicates the scrapped parts and rework parts.

NOK parts and parts with the Abort and Others status are counted as rework.

Availability losses [min:sec]

Displays the Availability losses , i.e. losses due to unplanned downtimes separated into changeover-related, technical, organizational and quality losses.

The total losses within the hour concerned is displayed for each category. However, planned downtimes are not counted. A downtime lasting multiple hours is split accordingly.

Configure hourly part count confirmation

Especially when using automatic part count recording, it may be necessary for production to confirm the recorded part counts in real time (hourly) in order to react swiftly to any production problems (e.g. target part counts not reached).

The confirmation can be activated by the Shift Book Admin operator under Shopfloor > Administration > Configuration with the following configuration parameters:

  • Enable hourly confirmation

    Enable part count confirmation

  • Percentage limit value for the efficiency loss

The loss of power can only be confirmed if it falls between the limits for Minimum loss efficiency (default 10 %) and Maximum loss efficiency (default 20 %).

    Example:

    Minimum loss efficiency = -20 %

    Maximum loss efficiency = +30 %

All power losses between -20 % and +30 % can be confirmed.

  • Time limit until when an elapsed hour can be confirmed.

Minimum timeout to confirm part count , (0 s for no time limit)

  • Time limit from when an elapsed hour can be confirmed

Minimum time span in the past to confirm part count , 300 s, i.e. hour must be at least 5 minutes in the past = default value

Hourly part counts can be confirmed:

  • For elapsed hours (at least Minimum time span in the past to confirm part count ).

  • Within the time limit (see below).

  • If the performance loss lies within specified percentage limits (where configured).

  • If the user has the corresponding authorization

    • To set confirmation: Shift Book Leader or higher

    • To cancel confirmation: Shift Book Admin

If an hourly part count confirmation is not possible (checkbox grayed out), the reasons are displayed as tooltips, i.e. by hovering the mouse over the checkbox:

  • Missing permissions (Shift Book Leader role or higher is required).

  • Hour (+ time limit) not yet complete.

  • Timeout (where configured).

  • Performance loss limit exceeded (where configured).

Hourly part counts must, where configured, be confirmed in real time once the hour is complete. Once a time limit is set, hours can only be confirmed subsequently by a Shift Book Admin. Unconfirmed hours are displayed in the calendar or in the hourly quantity tracking with a different color (configurable, Shift types tab ).

In the hourly part count tracker, the deviation may remain red. The checkbox can no longer be activated (the time for this has expired), and when the mouse pointer is held over it, the reason why it cannot be confirmed is displayed. This can be subsequently confirmed with a user role with the appropriate authorization.

Manually enter/correct hourly part counts

Part counts can be entered automatically or manually. Automatically recorded quantities can be added or corrected manually.

Manual entry or correction of the hourly part counts should be done promptly on an hourly basis.
