Release and health state of the tools and components
Each tool and component has its own release state and health state.
Tools or components can be used in production if the calculated Health State state is OK. |
Release State
A tool or component can be manually locked or released with the release state.
The release state applies only to the tool or component itself and does not inherit to parent or child elements.
The following release states are available:
-
In Preparation
This state is assigned to every newly created tool and component. Before tools or components can be released, they need the status In Preparation.
-
Pre-Released
The tool or component is fully configured and prepared for production. However, the tool or component must not yet be used for production.
-
Released
The tool or component is released. Depending on the automatically calculated Health State the tool or component can be used in production.
-
Manually Blocked
The tool or component is not OK, it must not be used in production.
-
Scrapped
The tool or component is defective and cannot be repaired. The tool or component is no longer displayed by default. Scrapped tools and components can be displayed using the Release State filter.
-
Deleted
The tool or component can no longer be used to produce. The tool or component is no longer displayed by default. Deleted tools and components can be displayed using the Release State filter.
The release state applies only to the tool or component itself and does not inherit to parent or child elements.
Health State
The health state of the tool or the component cannot be changed manually. The tool or component can only be used to produce if the health state is OK (green) or Warning (yellow). The health state OK (green) is determined by the following factors:
-
Required components are attached to the tool or component.
-
The release states of the tool and attached components are Released.
-
Counters for the tool and attached components are below the set warning and blocking limits.
The following health states exist:
-
OK (green)
All factors are met.
-
Warning (yellow)
One or more counters have exceeded the set warning limits.
-
Blocked (red)
The tool or component is blocked if a required component is not attached, one or more counters have exceeded the set block limit, or the release state is not Released.
The health state is inherited by all parent elements.
