Adjust configuration

Specific configuration files of the company are implemented to be able to operate the Product Setup Management client. The configuration files can be exported, adapted and imported by the Administrator. Resetting a configuration file serves as a backup function.

Detailed information about the configuration files can be found in the administrator’s handbook.

Prerequisite

Administrator role

Procedure

  1. Open the gears Configuration menu.

    psm_configuration_overview

The file names of the configuration files are displayed in the left-hand column of the table. The name of the configuration file is displayed in the middle column. The date and time of the last update of the configuration file are displayed on the right.
The following configuration files must be implemented: * OPCONSETTINGS
Central setup file that specifies which functions are available and when communication with the ERP system takes place. * LOCATIONDEFINITIONSCONFIG
Location definitions of the company, to allow product assembly plans to be generated. * TEMPLATE

    The file manager opens.

  4. Save the file and open it with a text editor.

The file is in *.xml format.

  5. Edit the file and save it under the same name as the original file.

  6. To import the edited configuration file, select the original configuration file in the table.

  7. Click add_black in Configuration.

    The file manager opens.

  8. Open the edited configuration file in the file manager.

  9. Confirm with Yes in the dialog window.
