Monitors on production lines

The dashboards or modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are often displayed on monitors in production halls. These monitors are mainly installed above the production lines and can only be controlled remotely. Due to enforced security and central policies, updates or computer restarts, sometimes the necessary content is not continuously displayed on the monitors. The computer, the browser and the Nexeed Industrial Application System can be configured to automatically display the dashboard or modules again.

Minimal rights are required, e.g. viewing the content without an email account. This limits the amount of data that can be stolen in the event of an attack or misuse.

Configuring monitors to display content continuously

Prerequisite

The automatic login is configured once in the Nexeed Industrial Application System.

Procedure

The following steps must be performed for each computer and each user.
  1. Configure the automatic login in Windows:
    Learn.microsoft.com: turn-on-automatic-logon.

  2. Configure the automatic login to the identity provider with the Windows user.

If the user is logged out, log in to the identity provider again.

  3. Set cookies in the browser.

  4. Configure the automatic logout in the Nexeed Industrial Application System.

  5. Configure the command line parameters in the browser.

  6. Configure screensaver and power settings in Windows.

The Nexeed Industrial Application System is displayed continuously on the monitors.
