Value Conversion Tab

The Value Conversion Tab is used to display, add, edit and delete value conversions.

ERP Connectivity provides components for converting specific values used by the connector packages.

Display Details of the Value Conversion

Prerequisites

Guest , User , Editor or Power User role

Procedure

  1. Go to the ERP Connectivity > Configuration menu.

  2. Open the Value Conversion tab.

  3. Click in the row of a value converter.

The detailed view displays a description of the functionality and the connector packages and orchestrator packages that use the selected value converter. The status of the connector packages and orchestrator packages that use the selected value converter is also displayed.

Display Overview of the Value Conversion Assignments

Prerequisites

Guest , User , Editor or Power User role

Procedure

  1. Go to the ERP Connectivity > Configuration menu.

  2. Open the Value Conversion tab.

  3. Click on forward-right in the row of a value converter.

An overview of the value conversion assignments is displayed in the Assignment tab.

erp_list_value_converter

Add Value Conversion Assignment

Prerequisites

User , Editor or Power User role

Procedure

  1. Go to the ERP Connectivity > Configuration menu.

  2. Open the Value Conversion tab.

  3. Click on forward-right in the row of a value converter.

  4. Click add_border in the header in the Assignment tab.

  5. In the Add Value Conversion Assignment dialog window, enter the information:

    erp_add_mapping
    • In the Connector Package drop-down list, select the connector package that uses the value conversion.

      The connector package does not have to be activated for this, but added.

      The All selection also applies to subsequently added connector packages.

    • In the Orchestrator Package drop-down list, select the orchestrator package that uses the value conversion.

      The orchestrator package does not have to be activated for this, but added.

      The All selection also applies to subsequently added connector packages.

    • In the Key text field, enter the key for the value conversion and optionally add a description of the key.

      The direction of the value conversion defines which system delivers the key and which system consumes the value. This information is described in the overview of the value conversion.

    • In the Value text field, enter the value for the value conversion and optionally add a description of the value.

      The number of additional parameters depends on the value conversion. Value conversions without parameters are also possible.

  6. Click Save.

The value conversion assignment is created and displayed in the list.

Edit Value Conversion Assignment

Prerequisites

Editor or Power User role

Procedure

  1. Go to the ERP Connectivity > Configuration menu.

  2. Open the Value Conversion tab.

  3. Click on forward-right in the row of a value converter.

  4. In the Assignment tab, click mdm_edit_icon in the row of a value conversion group.

  5. In the Edit dialog window, edit information:

    erp_edit_value_converter
    • In the Connector Package drop-down list, select the connector package that uses the value conversion.

    • In the Orchestrator Package drop-down list, select the orchestrator package that uses the value conversion.

    • In the Key text field, edit the value conversion key and optionally add a description of the key.

    • In the Value text field, edit the value for the value conversion and optionally add a description of the value.

  6. Click Save.

The value conversion assignment is edited and displayed in the list.

Delete Value Conversion Assignment

Prerequisites

Editor or Power User role

Procedure

  1. Go to the ERP Connectivity > Configuration menu.

  2. Open the Value Conversion tab.

  3. Click on forward-right in the row of a value converter.

  4. In the Assignment tab, click delete in the row of a value conversion group.

  5. In the Delete Value Conversion Assignment dialog window, click Delete.

The value conversion assignment is deleted and is no longer displayed in the list. The deleted value conversion assignment is no longer used by the packages.
