Ticket anonymization

Ticket anonymization is a process that removes personal data from tickets to protect user privacy.

The user id of the action history is replaced by a default value.

Anonymized Ticket

When a ticket is anonymized

Tickets are anonymized 90 days after closure, by default.

Tickets to be anonymized

Only closed tickets are automatically anonymized. Open or in-progress tickets can be anonymized only manually. Active tickets and archived tickets are anonymized.

Configure ticket anonymization

Prerequisite

Ticket Anonymiation Configurator role

Procedure

  1. Open the Ticket Management > Configuration menu.

  2. Click on Basic configurations tab.

  3. Activate/deactivate the automatic anonymization by toggling the switch accordingly.

  4. Configure the anonymization period in the input filed.

  5. Click on Save to save the changes.

Basic Configurations

The configuration changes will be applied to the ticket anonymization process as specified.

Manually trigger ticket anonymization

Prerequisite

Ticket Anonymiation Executor role

Procedure

  1. Open Ticket Management > Configuration menu.

  2. Click on Basic configurations tab.

  3. Click on Anonymize User button.

  4. In the opened dialog:

    1. Select the user to be anonymized.

    2. Choose if the user should be anonymized

      1. In all data associated with this user

        Anonymize user all data
      2. Or only for tickets created or closed within a specific time range

        Anonymize user time range

Manual anonymization can be triggered even when the automatic anonymization is disabled.

The selected user will be anonymized according to the chosen options.
