Auto recovery mode

To enable automatic recovery from network failures, configure the unresponsive reload timeout by setting the following environment variable:

e.g. Portal:UnresponsiveViewReloadTimeoutInSeconds=15

The value defines the maximum time (in seconds) a view is allowed to be unresponsive. If the limit is reached, the Portal will reload the page.
The minimum allowed value is 5 seconds.
Setting the value to 0 disables the unresponsive check.

Setting up sound in kiosk mode

Autoplay of sounds without user interaction is disabled in most modern browsers. To enable sound playback for your browser, follow the following steps.

Google Chrome

Set the Google Chrome enterprise policy AutoplayAllowed to true to enable autoplay. To enable autoplay for Andon Live, add the Nexeed IAS url to the AutoplayAllowlist enterprise policy.

Mozilla Firefox

When Firefox is blocking media on a website you will see an icon next to the address bar. Click the icon to open the Site Information panel and select "Allow Audio and Video" in the Autoplay permissions drop down.

Microsoft Edge

Open the settings menu by clicking the three dots in the top right corner and selecting "Settings". Select "Cookies and site permissions" on the left and scroll down to "Media autoplay". In the allow list click "Add" and enter the Nexeed IAS url to always allow sound playback in Andon Live.
