Notification settings

Notification settings allow users to configure which notification channels are used for specific topics. Topics are grouped by module. The available notification channels depend on what was registered by the respective module.

All modules and their topics are displayed under User > Notification settings. For each topic, the active notification channels can be changed.

Elements

Element Description

Module name

Displays the name of the module that provides the topics (e.g. "Ticket Management"). Topics are grouped by module.

Topic title

Displays the name of the topic (e.g. "Maintenance Alerts"). Click the info icon next to the title to view the topic key.

Notify Via

Drop-down to select one or more notification channels for a topic. The available channels depend on what was registered by the module.

Save

Saves the current notification settings. The button is only enabled when changes have been made.

If no notification settings are available, a blank screen with the message No topic available yet is displayed.

Changing notification channels

Procedure

  1. Click on User > Notification settings.

    All modules and their topics are displayed.

  2. Click on the Notify Via drop-down of the desired topic.

    All available notification channels are displayed.

  3. Check or uncheck the desired notification channels.

    If no channel is selected, no notifications will be sent for this topic.
  4. Click Save.

The notification channel settings are saved. Notifications for the selected topics will be sent via the chosen channels.

Test notification configuration

Users can send themselves a test notification to verify that their Email or Web Push channel is configured and working correctly.

Procedure

  1. Click on User > Notification settings.

  2. Scroll to the Test Notification Configuration section.

  3. In the drop-down, select the notification channel: Email or Web Push.

  4. Click Send Notification.

The selected test notification is sent to your account.
