Standardization
The Deviation Processor acts as the central hub for managing deviations on the shop floor. Ideally, all detectors that identify deviations should integrate with the Deviation Processor. To facilitate this integration, the Deviation Processor specifies standardized interfaces for both detectors to report deviations and reactors to respond to them.
This standardization ensures seamless integration with any detector or reactor module, allowing the Deviation Processor to operate without needing to know the specifics of the communicating modules. Thus, the generalization of interfaces is crucial for the Deviation Processor’s functionality.
