Introduction to the Process Quality module
With the Process Quality Module (PQM), the User can view process curves of machines and sensors (e.g. pressure over time, temperature over time, force over distance) live and chronologically by using a web browser on the User interface of the software Nexeed Industrial Application System. Live means that the data is displayed with a delay of a maximum of ten seconds.
The Process Quality Module serves for process monitoring and includes the following functions:
Visualization of Process Messages of a manufacturing process
The User can use the Process Quality Module to analyse the course of individual process curves and compare different process curves with each other. This enables the User to identify and rectify process quality problems more quickly. The Process Quality Module is therefore very well suited for monitoring of assembly / joining processes (e.g. screwing / tightening, pressing, welding, riveting, punching) and for coating processes.
Display of the Quality Data status in a coloured bar chart (“Hunderterstrahl” - process navigation bar)
Quality related data, that is sent within a Process Message ("OK", "NOK" or "UNKNOWN") is displayed via a bar chart (process navigation bar).
“OK” results are displayed in green colour, “NOK” results are displayed in red colour and “UNKNOWN” results are displayed in blue colour.
The bar chart can also be used for navigation and selection of the process curves.
Possibility to make customer-specific view settings for Process Data
With the input mask, the User can freely parameterize the dimensions of the process curves with the Process Quality Module.
For example, the user can display e.g. the torque over time in a curve for a tightening process or the force over distance for a pressing process.
Display of additional information on individual processes (additional metadata such as details of the production line, station, program, channel, part ID)
The User can extend the display with additional information, such as quality assessments or threshold values, which are contained in the Process Message sent to the receiving interface of the software Nexeed Industrial Application System
Visual data comparison from several processes
The User can navigate via a menu bar of the Module, for example, to display old and new process curves in order to compare them.
Filtering functions allow the User to show and hide process curves.
This enables the User to compare individual process curves that are relevant for him.
This allows the User to monitor e.g. the above-mentioned tightening process and to compare process curves of such a tightening process with an identical or comparable tightening process for which the same program settings of the machine were used.
This enables the User to monitor the process quality, to recognize process problems at earlier stages and thus to improve the efficiency of the customer’s production.
Export of Process Messages in CSV and JSON format
The User can export selected information of Process Messages via the user interface in CSV and JSON format.
This gives the User the ability to use external tools, that can read the CSV or JSON format, for further analysis.
Activation, updating, muting (i.e. deactivate without deleting), reactivation and deletion of rules or of details of a rule
The Process Quality Module allows the user to activate a rule.
The term "rule" refers to a mechanism in the software Nexeed Industrial Application System that monitors a certain behaviour of processes.
The user must activate or deactivate these rules.
