Unit load types

Overview: Unit Load Types

The unit load types are created and edited under Master Data > Material Data > Unit Load Types. Load units are used to transport the materials.

Prerequisite

Role Transport Management Administrator or Transport Management Logistik Planer or Stock Management Administrator or Stock Management Logistik Planer

Procedure

  1. Open the Material flow data > Unit load types menu.

  2. Add a unit load type with add_black New unit load type.
    Or:
    To edit a unit load type, click the tile of the unit load type.

  3. Make entries in the General tab.

  4. To select compatible trailer types, select the Compatible trailer types tab.

  5. Select compatible trailer types:

    • Select all : Select all trailer types in the Incompatible trailer types or Compatible trailer types area.

    • Delete selection: Deselect all trailer types in the Incompatible trailer types or Compatible trailer types area.

    • forward-right : Move selected trailer types to the Compatible trailer types area.

    • back-left : Move selected trailer types to the Incompatible trailer types area.

    • Use Drag & Drop to select incompatible trailer types or Compatible trailer types.

  6. To select compatible vehicle types, select the Compatible vehicle types tab.

  7. Select compatible vehicle types:

    • Select all : Select all vehicle types in the Incompatible vehicle types or Compatible vehicle types area.

    • Delete selection: Deselect all vehicle types in the Incompatible vehicle types or Compatible vehicle types area.

    • forward-right : Move selected vehicle types to the Compatible vehicle types area.

    • back-left : Move selected vehicle types to the Incompatible vehicle types area.

    • Use Drag & Drop to select incompatible trailer types or Compatible trailer types.

  8. Use Save to create a unit load type or save changes.

The new or edited unit load type appears in the Material flow data > Load unit types menu.

Deleting a unit load type

Prerequisite

Role Transport Management Administrator or Transport Management Logistik Planer or Stock Management Administrator or Stock Management Logistik Planer

Procedure

  1. Open the Material flow data > Unit load types menu.

  2. Delete the unit load type with delete.

    Or:

    Select the unit load type and in the Unit load type - <Name> dialog box, click Delete to delete the unit load type.

  3. In the unit load type dialog box, click Delete to permanently delete it.

The unit load type is deleted and no longer appears in Material flow data > Unit load types.

Editing AGV Unit Load Type Mappings

Prerequisite

  • Role Transport Management Administrator or Transport Management Logistic Planer or Stock Management Administrator or Stock Management Logistic Planer

  • An existing unit load type.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to _Master data > Material Data menu.

  2. Click on the Unit Load Types tab.

  3. Click on the unit load type to be edited.

    The Unit Load Type dialog opens.

  4. Click the AGV Unit Load Type Mapping tab.

  5. A list of existing AGV unit load type mappings is displayed.

    • To add a new mapping, click on add.

    • To edit a mapping, select an AGV Plugin and enter the corresponding _AGV unit load type ID.

    • To delete a mapping, click on delete.

    • Confirm with Save.

The mappings for the selected unit load type load are stored and can also be displayed in the AGV Unit Load Type Mappings Overview.
