System Management
Configuration data of the various services used in Transport Management and Stock Management can be modified or versioned directly. The new configuration data is processed and then used in the Nexeed Industrial Application System.

Overview: System Management
The configuration data of the various services used in Transport Management and Stock Management can be viewed under Master Data Management > System Management and can be edited.

The user interface is divided into two areas:

On the left is the list of configuration data versions. All services that the Nexeed Industrial Application System uses for Transport Management and Stock Management are subordinate to each version. The green dot next to the version designation indicates the version whose configuration data is currently being used. Versions with a gray dot next to the version designation are deactivated.

On the right is the editing area, which has three tabs:

Customization
If a service is selected in the list of versions, the general configuration data of the service is displayed in the editing area. -
Rule Set
If a service is selected in the list of versions, rules of the service are displayed in the editing area. -
Additional data
If a service is selected in the list of versions, additional files of the service are displayed in the editing area.It is possible for lower-level tabs to appear in the editing area that divide the configuration data into topic areas.

Activate |
Activate the selected version. Depending on the size, the Nexeed Industrial Application System will require some time to process the configuration data. After processing, the new configuration data is used directly.
Backup function: An older version can be activated again if necessary. The previously activated version is automatically deactivated. |

Compare the configuration data of the selected service at different times of saving. |

Save |
Save changes to the configuration data in the editing area. |

Cancel |
Discard changes to the configuration data in the editing area. |
Create new version
A version of the configuration data can be created from a duplicate of a previous version or from the saved template. The template contains the configuration data that existed when the Nexeed Industrial Application System was activated.
When a new version is created, the configuration data of the included services is not used by the Nexeed Industrial Application System until the version is activated. |

Open the Master Data Management > System Management menu.

To create a version based on the template, open the Create Version dialog window with
.

Enter the Version Designation.

Create the new version with Save.
Or:
To create a version from a duplicate of an existing version, move the mouse pointer over the designation of the version to be duplicated.

Open the options menu with
and select Duplicate Version.

The Duplicate Version dialog window opens with the original version designation and the _Copy extension.

Change the Version Designation if necessary and create the new version by pressing Save.
The configuration data of the original version is copied to the new version and can be edited.
The created version appears with the version designation in the list of versions.
Expand the services of the new version in the list of versions with
.

If necessary, edit the configuration data of the services of the new version.
Edit the Configuration Data of a Service -
To activate the new version, click Activate in the list of versions next to the version designation.
The new version appears in the list of versions and contains the modified configuration data of the included services. Once the new version has been activated, the configuration data is processed in the Nexeed Industrial Application System and used directly.
Depending on the size, the Nexeed Industrial Application System will require some time to process the configuration data. After processing, the new configuration data is used directly. |
If the configuration data of the activated version is no longer to be used by the Nexeed Industrial Application System or is erroneous, another version can be activated. |

To compare modified configuration data of a service with the configuration data at other times of saving, continue with Compare Configuration Data of a Service.

To delete a version, continue with Delete Version.
Edit the Configuration Data of a Service
Configuration data is not used by the Nexeed Industrial Application System until the version is activated. |

Open the Master Data Management > System Management menu.

In the list of versions, select the service of the version whose configuration data is to be edited.
The configuration data of the selected service appears in the editing area under the tabs Customization , Rule Set and Additional Data.
Overview: System ManagementIt is possible for lower-level tabs to appear in the editing area that divide the configuration data into topic areas.

In the editing area, edit the configuration data of the selected service.
The changes must be saved each time a service is edited. If the service has multiple lower-level tabs in the editing area, any changes must be saved before switching tabs. Otherwise, the changes will not be applied.

Press Save to accept the changes to the configuration data.
Press Cancel to reject the changes to the configuration data within the service, in the current tab where applicable.
In the Scheduled Changes dialog window, the original configuration data can be compared against the changes. The original configuration data is displayed on the left-hand side, and the configuration data currently being edited is displayed on the right-hand side.
The changes are highlighted in color: * Red rows indicate that something has been deleted. * Green rows indicate that something has been added. * Uncolored rows indicate that no changes have been made.

In the Scheduled Changes dialog window, press Save to confirm the changes.
If you press Cancel , the changes will not be saved and the configuration data can continue to be edited. The cancellation does not erase the changes.
The modified configuration data of the service is transferred to the selected version.

To compare the modified configuration data of a service with the configuration data at other times of saving, continue with Compare Configuration Data of a Service.

To create a new version, continue with Create new version.
Compare Configuration Data of a Service
Each time the configuration data of a service is saved, the date and time are stored in the history. The configuration data of the various storage times can be compared with each other.
Configuration data can be compared during processing or independently of it. |

Open the Master Data Management > System Management menu.

In the desired version, select the service whose configuration data is to be compared.
The configuration data of the service is displayed in the editing area.

Click Compare in the editing area.
The current configuration data of the selected service is displayed on the right-hand side of the Compare History dialog window. The time of the last save is entered in the Active Version field. On the left-hand side, you can select and display the configuration data from a previous time when the configuration data was saved.

In the Select Version drop-down list, select the time with which the current configuration file is to be compared.
The configuration data of the selected time of saving is shown on the left. The changes between the original and current configuration data are highlighted in color: * Red rows indicate that something has been deleted. * Green rows indicate that something has been added. * Uncolored rows indicate that no changes have been made.

Press Close to close the comparison.
The configuration data of the various points in time is compared and each change can be traced.

To change the configuration data of a service, continue with Edit the Configuration Data of a Service.
Upload Configuration Data
A version of the configuration data of the various services can be integrated into a system folder and uploaded to System Management. This is an alternative to editing configuration data within System Management.
The structure specified by the Operations Manual must be adhered to within the folder. |

Open the Master Data Management > System Management menu.

In the list of versions, open the Copy Data from an Existing Tenant window with
.

Drag and drop the folder containing the configuration data into the window.

In the Copy Data from an Existing Tenant window, enter the following information:

Copy Data from Tenant
In the drop-down list, select the tenant from which the configuration data is to be imported. -
Version Designation
Enter the name to be displayed in the list of versions.

Press Save to start the import.
The configuration data from the system folder is uploaded. The uploaded version is displayed in the list of versions and can be edited.

To delete a version, continue with Delete Version.
Delete Version
A version can only be deleted when it is not activated. |

In the list of versions, move the mouse pointer over the designation of the version to be deleted.

Press
to open the options menu and select Delete.

In the Delete Version? dialog window, click Delete.
The version and all configuration data of the services contained therein no longer appear in the list of versions.
