Shift book tab
The Shift book tab displays information about shifts and downtimes of production lines. This information can be filtered according to various aspects. Shifts and downtimes can be managed (created, changed, deleted). Shifts can be completed and provided with digital information. You can also change the number of workers scheduled for a shift.

Procedure
Call up the Shift Book tab in the Shopfloor Management > Shift Book menu.
The Shift Book tab displays a calendar overview with shifts, downtimes and 4M events, as well as interaction elements ( Description of the Interaction Elements ).

Description of the Interaction Elements
The following interaction elements are available:

Procedure
Select the desired production line from the Lines drop-down list.
The information in the shift book of the selected production line is displayed.
Selecting the time period in the calendar
The calendar function can be used to select the displayed time period.

Click the required day.
The selection is applied.
In week view, the week in which the selected day is located is applied. Switch to calendar view and display digital shift information. |

To select a past or future month:

Use the arrows to navigate to that month.

Click the required day.

To select the past year:

Click the month designation.
The year view of the calendar opens.

Click the required year, month, and day in succession.

Move the calendar view by week or by day
Depending on the set view (day or week), the calendar view can be moved one day or one week into the past or future.

Procedure

To move the calendar view to the previous day or week:
Click the left arrow.
The calendar view changes to the previous day or week.

To move the calendar view to the next day or week:
Click the right arrow.
The calendar view changes to the next day or week.
To move the calendar view to the current day or week:
Click Today.
The calendar view changes to the current day or week.
This feature is especially useful if the previously viewed time range is far in the past in the calendar view. |
Switch to calendar view and display digital shift information
The week view is particularly relevant for overall planning due to the holistic display of shifts and downtimes.
The day view provides a more detailed representation of the shifts and downtimes of a calendar day and is suitable for detailed planning.
The digital shift information is used to transfer relevant information (e.g. special incidents, activities to be completed) from one shift to the next. It is mandatory for employees on the following shift to read the digital shift information.
The default calendar view usually contains a lot of information. The display can be filtered according to the digital shift information.

To switch to the day view:
Select the Day calendar view from the View drop-down list.
The calendar view changes to the day view.

To switch to the week view:
Select the Week calendar view from the View drop-down list.
The calendar view changes to the week view.

To display only the digital shift information:
In the View drop-down list, activate the Shift information checkbox.
The calendar view contains only the digital shift information.
Filtering downtimes
By default, planned and unplanned downtimes and 4M events are displayed in the calendar view. The display can be filtered.
4M events (4M = man, machine, material, method) are downtimes with additional properties and are used to document changes in the production process. |

Procedure

To display planned downtimes:
Select the Planned filter option from the Downtimes drop-down list.
The calendar view contains the planned downtimes.

To display unplanned downtimes:
Select the Unplanned filter option from the Downtimes drop-down list.
The calendar view contains the unplanned downtimes.

To display only 4M events:
Select the Only 4M filter option from the Downtimes drop-down list.
The calendar view contains 4M events.
At least one of the statuses Planned or Unplanned must be selected. |
Filtering production-relevant downtimes
By default, the calendar view displays both production-relevant and non-production-relevant downtimes. The display can be filtered according to production-relevant downtimes.
Production-relevant downtimes are downtimes with a duration of > 0 s or with a relevance of > 0% (i.e. not time-neutral). |

The calendar view contains only production-relevant downtimes; the prod. rel. filter icon is displayed as active (highlighted in color).

The calendar view contains both production-relevant and non-production-relevant downtimes; the prod. rel. filter icon is displayed as inactive (not highlighted).
