Introduction to the Product Setup Management module
The Product Setup Management module offers the central management of product bills of material (BOMs) and product development plans (assignment of machine components/work plans) offline or synchronized from SAP ERP.
The module Product Setup Management is available as a client version and is used for planning and managing products that consist of multiple components and materials. The product parts lists, the product assembly plans and the packaging parts lists—hereinafter referred to as the "packaging specifications"—are organized in the context of logistics and production processes.
Service description
This service description is only applicable in connection with the document "Service Description - NEXEED Industrial Application System (Nexeed IAS) Version [every valid version] - General Part (valid for all Nexeed Applications)", which contains the System Requirements, system specifications for threshold values for Data Load of the Software Nexeed IAS, assignment of responsibilities for the generation, provision, collection, use, storage, backup and recovery of data, for the installation of hardware and software and for the operation of the Software Nexeed IAS as well as instructions for maintenance and other services of Bosch.

The customer must configure the Product Setup Management module according to the conditions of the plant and the lines

After the service configuration, an initial data transfer from the ERP system needs to be performed. This process needs to be triggered manually with the CI documentation
Roles and permissions
All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Multitenant Access Control module.
The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:

Security
Product Setup Management encrypts any communication between client and application itself by default. In order to ensure this, it is necessary to provide a valid server certificate and key to the reverse proxy and service containers. This can be done by setting the corresponding environment variables properly. Keep in mind that the browser being used needs to trust the given certification authority (CA) as well in order to be able to communicate with Product Setup Management.
TLS can be disabled by configuration. Do not consider this for production purposes.
There is nexeedServerTLSEnabled value on deployment that can be set to false to disable TLS for all services in the deployment, or use DOTNET_TLS_DISABLE that will enable/disable TLS only for Product Setup Management services.
