Importing a Line

forward-right or down

Expand or collapse stations and facilities of a line.

Detailed View: Line

Element Description

search Search

Search for a settings parameter (e.g. Line type ).

info-i-circle

Display information about the element.

Line Name

Enter any name for the line.

Line Type

Select a line type.

  • Automatic

  • Automatic without material

  • Manual (Multiple Active Orders)

  • Manual (Single Active Order)

Station Order Generation

Select whether data for the station counter should be evaluated and displayed.

  • Configuration
Data for the station counter is evaluated.

  • Disabled
Data for the station counter is not evaluated.

Trigger Explosion - Mode

Select the mode to determine the extent of the Bill of Material (BOM) explosion performed when the 'BOM Type' is 'PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion' or 'PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion & Verify Packaging'. This explosion occurs automatically upon order release, using the order’s type number.

  • Only root level
Explodes only the top-level product setup.

  • Up to configured level
Explodes the product setup down to the depth specified in the 'Trigger Explosion - Level' setting.

  • All levels
Explodes the product setup to its complete depth without any level restrictions.

Trigger Explosion - Level

Specify the maximum depth for the Bill of Material (BOM) explosion. This setting is active only when the 'BOM Type' is 'PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion' or 'PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion & Verify Packaging', and the 'Trigger Explosion - Mode' is set to 'Up to Configured Level'.

Allow Change of Quantity Units

Activate this setting to allow modification of the quantity unit for orders.

If deactivated, 'Number of articles' (NAR) is the only permitted quantity unit for this line, and any other unit will cause Order Management to fail.

Quantity unit changes are prohibited within the client.

Allow Pause Order

Activate this setting to enable pausing orders.

When deactivated, paused orders will not appear in the order list, and the "Pause" option will be hidden from context menus.

Maintenance Mode

Enable when the line is undergoing maintenance while an order is active. Disabling it indicates maintenance completion.

In Maintenance mode, data collection for the order is paused, so that the computations in the Order Management module are not influenced by maintenance work and the increment counter does not advance

Restrict Unreleasing an Order

Activate if it should be possible to cancel the release of an order, even if production for this order has already started.

Resume paused orders on update (Planning System)

Indicates, whether orders in state paused are automatically resumed, when an update for the order is received from the planning system (e.g. ProCon). This parameter is only used when the 'Order Synchronization Mode' is set to 'with Planning System V2 (event based)'.

BOM Type

Select the source for obtaining Bill of Materials (BOMs) for this line.

  • Disabled
    No BOM will be retrieved.

  • Internal
Requires BOMs to be automatically forwarded to Order Management by an external system (e.g., from Panasonic machines).

  • PSM - Building Plan - By Type Number
Retrieves the BOM as a building plan from Product Setup Management (PSM) using the order’s type number.

  • PSM – Building Plan – Revision Handling
Retrieves the BOM as a building plan from PSM, using the order’s revision and production version.

  • ASM
Retrieves the BOM from the ASM Connector.

  • PSM - Packaging
Retrieves packaging BOMs from PSM. This option requires all stations on the line to have No Setup configured for order release. If multiple "first" stations exist, the packaging setup is applied based on a sorted order (lowest production step, then location ID).

  • PanaCIM
Retrieves the BOM from the Panasonic Connector.

  • PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion
Triggers BOM explosion within PSM for all Production Setup Levels. The order explosion date must be set for release.

  • PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion & Verify Packaging
Triggers BOM explosion within PSM and verifies the availability of the packaging BOM upon order release.

Orders can only be released in the Web UI if the BOM type is set to Disabled or PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion or PSM - Product Setup - Trigger Explosion & Verify Packaging.
